In response to the evolution of the profile of trips of SSA SUM members to student conferences, the Regulations for the Allocation of Funds for Financing Student Research Trips in the calendar year 2022 have changed.

On November 24, 2020, the General Meeting of the Student Scientific Society was held in auditorium A3 of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice.

After the presentation by the outgoing Chairwoman, the Honorary Award was presented. prof. Franciszek Kokot. This year, the SSA SUM Management Board decided to award the Award The team of the SUM IT and Informatization Center for the huge contribution made to helping the Society carry out its tasks during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result of the elections, he became the new Chairman of STN SUM Piotr Lewandowski from the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze, and the Vice-Chairmen Aleksandra Mroskowiak and Maria Stec. The 10th National Student Ophthalmology Conference will be held on December 12, 2020, the deadline for submitting abstracts is November 29, 2020. Detailed information about the conference is available at event website and in the conferences tab. We strongly encourage you to participate!

On November 17, 2020, the General Meeting of the Student Scientific Society was held. Due to the pandemic situation, the meeting was held online.

We said hello in the process the new Curator of the SUM Student Scientific Society, Professor Michał Holecki. At the same time, we would like to thank prof. Ph.D. n. med. Katarzyna Mizi-Stec for years of fruitful cooperation.

As a result of by-elections for the 2020/21 term, there were changes in the composition of the STN SUM Management Board. From now on, she will serve as Deputy Chairwoman Piotr Lewandowski from the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze, the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Bytom will be represented by Barbara Janota and Weronika Gwioździk, and the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze additionally by Maria Stec.
